Monday's staring at me!!

Make it stop!! lol

Sigh.  I had a four day weekend this weekend, although that was mostly due to the fact that we had Wayne's grandma funeral.  It all went well.  Drama free (which happens when you are with a normal and wonderful family!) and it was really a beautiful service.  I was glad to be able to be there for Wayne, and I was glad that I was able to meet his grandmother prior to her passing...although it was after her stroke, I still am glad I went to the hospital that night to meet her prior to her passing.  She lead a tough life, and for that was an extremely tough woman.  She was loved by her family and ya know, at the end of the day, that's all we can ask for isn't it?

The funeral did bring a little bit of "reality" to me.... the fact that I'm living so far away from my family and that death is a part of life, is something I can't ignore... I can delay thinking about it, but it's still there.  My mom has already expressed an interest in discussing their death wishes when we go to America.  And while the adult in me understands that this is necessary, the kid in me thinks, nah..you'll be around forever.   Sigh.. if only that were true.  But, again..part of life.

Today we've had STRONG storms.  On Thursday a TORNADO hit the suburb I work in!!!  (side note:  I was told "Perth doesn't get tornado's" before moving here).  And, they don't.  This is VERY rare.  And the pictures and videos don't look like a Tornado... just a big strong breeze to be honest.  However, I was super glad NOT to be at work.  Today the winds have been HORRENDOUS!!!  CHECK OUT THIS ARTICLE!  As I type, the winds are howling and the rain is pouring.... not a bad way to spend a night in, though.

Over the weekend we put together our new IKEA dresser (only took 7 hrs!! lol)  and today I bought a tv for the bedroom.  It's transforming the bedroom from a bachelor pad to an actual couples bedroom (esp with my nice blue and chocolate comforter and pillows from the states....hehehehe.... ).  It looks great.  Oh, don't forget the chocolate curtains.  Man, I so wish I had taken pictures before and after.  It looks great though!  I'm sure if Wayne reads this, THIS is where he will be rolling his eyes..lol.  "what's the purpose of these pillows???"  is the question of the week! haha.

Wayne is off to the East coast for work (again.....) so tonight has been dinner with his folks, a chat with the boy, and organizing of closets and such.  I find it sad that I get excited when I have the house to myself...and what do I do??? Clean and organize!!  LOL.  Paaaaathetic.  Oh well.  Time ain't gonna waste itself!  At least tonight I get to snuggle into an empty bed (okay... take UP said bed) and watch trashy Sunday night TV before starting the lonnnnnggggg week.

I am ending tonight with a quote from a movie.  Recently I've talked to a few people who don't seem to realize that while I do live in Australia... I do experience life.... pain.... heartache.....WINTER!  lol.  It's a great movie, The Descendants (George Clooney)...... this says it all really......

"My friends on the mainland think just because I leave in Hawaii, I live in paradise, like a permanent vacation.
We're all just out here, sipping Mai Tais, shaking our hips, catching waves.
Are they insane? Do they think we are immune to life?
How can they possibly think our families are less screwed up,
our cancers less fatal, our heartache less painful?"

Updates, updates, updates.....

Well, life down here is still as busy as ever.  Wayne's grandmother passed away Friday night so tonight is the Rosary service and tomorrow is the funeral and wake.  Everyone seems to be coping pretty well with it.  She had severe dementia and required 24 hr care in the nursing home.  Up until the stroke that lead to her passing, her body was perfectly healthy.  It was just that her mind was not.  Death is never easy, even when expected, but sometimes factors such as that make dealing with the death just a little easier.  It's the first family death either of us have had since entering our relationship nearly 2 years ago, and I'm glad to be here with Wayne during this time.

Work is...ehhhh... work.  Really starting to get annoyed with a few things, and I know that's part of it.  Awaiting the visa stuff to be processed, then may considering looking at options.  Just not sure if I can make the same money elsewhere.. we'll see though later this year.

Last night we booked our flights to America.  We leave in a little less than 7 weeks.  Really excited to see everyone!  Glad the tickets are booked, feels more real now! lol.  Starting in Florida at my folks, then Kentucky for my best friends wedding, catch up with friends in Lexington, Indy, etc, then head up to Detroit for a wedding, then the last part of the trip will be a vacation on the west coast (grand canyon, California) for the two of us before coming back home.  Unless we kill each other over the four weeks! lol.

Last night while looking for something on an email account, I stumbled upon some emails from my love that made me smile.....  I won't put the whole thing here, but did want to copy and paste two parts....

"And if I promise something, I mean it, I keep my promises.
I may not promise much, but when I do, I keep them."

"as long as I have you, thats all I need. And I do need you. My life feels incomplete
without you here. Cant wait til we are together again. "

These were both in emails before I ever took my first trip here.  I love looking back on our old emails.  Wayne printed off some emails between us from April/May'ish 2010 before we ever even became a couple.... at the time we had no clue but looking back on it wow were we down right flirty! lol.  We had a really good laugh reading through them.  However, the very sweet emails from Wayne once we became a couple really make me smile.  He's not an OVERLY romantic guy, but when he is it is very sincere and that makes me appreciate the things like those emails even more.  My friend Brandi printed off all of her and her now husbands emails and IM chats and put them into a binder.  I would love to do something similar to keep, but lord with the number of emails we exchanged as part of the long distance, it may require a Forrest to be chopped down! lol   I also found a website that will print off your blog into a book.. may look into that someday, although not sure many of my posts are worthy of being printed..lol  Not that it's a book that you would sell, just one to keep for keepsake purposes.

It's still winter here and COLD!  I am such a wimp now!  I want warm temps!!!!  LOL!

Ok, off to do some housework and get some stuff done prior to the Rosary service tonight.. until next time.... tootles!!!!!!

Helllllo bloggerland.

Well, for the first time in ages, I am in the mood to blog.  Not that there is really much to blog about, just in the mood to blog.  So bare with me for the most amazingly boring but motivated blog EV AH! (lol)

Work has been giving me the shits.  But today I had a "moment" or "realization" for lack of better words, thanks to some very kind and thankful patients who have been so kind and thankful today.   As a nurse, you do things that save lives on a regular basis, you feel good about it, sometimes have that "RUSH" that all the nurses out there know what I'm talking about.  But very rarely do people ever take the time to say thank you and appreciate what you've done.  It almost makes it feel more real, if that makes any sense?

Anyways (shiny red ball moment!)  I have decided that since I can't change the things at work bothering me, I have no choice... but to change my attitude.  I plan on just going to work, focusing on my job, and letting the rest slide right off my back. (ask me tomorrow how long that will last though! lol)  I have already informed Wayne that I will still, no doubt, bitch about work, but as women, that's what we do! lol  And luckily, he's learned that us gals have to get it off our chest and then we are fine (or at least he gives an awesome front that he has learned that! lol).

At the end of the day, I have a job that I love despite Hitler.

Oh yeah, Hitler.

So a few weeks ago a patient was on the phone apparently having a go at my boss.  I turn the corner and all I hear her say was "you are being rude.. and my name is NOT HITLER!"  I busted up laughing.. APPARENTLY she didn't find it as funny.

As I was saying... despite Hitler, I love my job.  I am not breaking my back or changing bed pans.  I feel like I make an ACTUAL difference in lives.  I have a NORMAL schedule.  I sleep at night, and am off on holidays with family.  I have a desk with Internet radio (LOVE it) and am making damn good money.  No job is perfect, so time to focus on the good, baby!

In other news, I recently paid OFF a personal loan to my dad, and all my credit cards.  What a freakin' load off!!!!!

So, since I'm in the blog mood.. I shall continue to blog.

And tell you some Random Facts About ME.   (yeah, it's corny, but I felt like I would share the crazy shit about me that perhaps nobody knows... well, I'm sure my boyfriend knows em all).

  • I can cross my eyes.. well, sorta... I cross the right eye, but the left eye stays straight.  Apparently, it's crazy looking.  (the boy on the other hand, makes great faces ATTEMPTING to... one of many fun memories from last weekend!)
  • In the 9th grade, I had 3 friends.  Count them, 3.  I was extremely shy.  (what the hell happened?? lol)
  • Once upon a time I wanted to be the FIRST NFL female player.  The only rule was nobody could tackle me (hey I was 6 and have never been a tom boy.  I'm a delicate flower, bitches....lol)
  • Once upon a time I wanted 4 kids.. all boys.  The number has changed, but despite what I joke to my boyfriend, the boys hasn't changed. (but honestly, will be happy with whatever God grants us!)
  • I am almost 32 with no kids, which bothers me.  A LOT.  But sometimes I think it will make me be a better mother, because I WANT kids so much now, and perhaps back "then" I wouldn't appreciate the wait?  Silly, but a thought.
  • I love the taste of fish and seafood.. the smell however, makes me wanna vomit.
  • I miss my friends more than my family.  Which is not a negative reflection on my family at all.  Just show how damn important my friends are in my life. (although I do feel bad after typing that...)
  • I feel bad more than I probably should (see previous random fact)
  • Once upon a time, my dream was to buy a farm and rescue ALL dogs that were about to be put to sleep.
  • My favorite tv shows:  Friends, Sex and the City, One Tree Hill, Scrubs, ER, Nurse Jackie, How I met your mother... perhaps too many?  I'm sure there are more I have left out......  I <3 TV.  lol
  • I don't have a creative bone in my body!  I can "see" crafty things, but I can't make them happen.
  • I don't remember the last time I finished a book.  I will buy books, start them.. DIVE into them.. then they sit and collect dust.
  • I am a huge procrastinator.
  • I am my own worst enemy.
  • I have never been happy with my body.
  • At one stage I had 3 earrings in one ear and 4 in the other.  For the past few years I've only had one in each.  Last month suddenly the second hole works.. so now, I have 2 in each ear.  Happy medium. :)
  • I own more black clothes than I should, and less than I wish.
  • I have EXTREME anxiety.  Perhaps medication worthy.  In the past, I treated with booze...but 45 days ago, I gave up booze (minus a situation) (yeah, yeah..judge away.)  I am now learning to feel, think, etc without booze.  I still have the anxiety...
  • I deal with anxiety with humor.
  • I fear death.  Wait, not death.  I fear dying alone (a note to my future kids.. be there and hold my damn hand!)
  • This year I turn 32.  I look in the mirror and see someone late 20's, early 30's...but I sometimes soooo feel mid 20's.  So.. we are as young as we feel?????????????
  • I love cheese
  • When I am alone (shower, car, house work, etc...) it turns into a Karaoke event.  Seriously.  I use to do Karaoke a lot (but the whole not drinking thing killed that! lol)  But the whole singing thing?? I love.  I have a play list on my iPhone JUST for singing along!  (bows head in shame!)
  • I have never loved anyone in my life or felt as loved as I do now with my aussie.
  • No matter how happy I am, I wish misery upon certain people....  I worry that makes me a bad person, but hope thats human nature.
  • My first car was a 1996 geo Prizm.  I've jumped more railroad tracks in that than Evil Kanevil (sp???)
  • With no alarm or a reason to wake up, I'd sleep til noon daily.  Period.
  • I love quotes and lyrics.  Far too much.
Guess since I've been working on this blog for like an hour now, I will stop, enjoy some trashy TV, texts with friends, and call it a night.

TTFN.

Where is time going?

Seriously, time seems to be just flying by.  It's so hard to believe it's almost the end of May!  It's hard for me for two reasons.... well, maybe three..

First off, admitting the month of May is almost past means admitting this year is nearly 5/12 complete.  Jesus.  How did that even happen?? Wasn't New Years like LAST WEEK???

Secondly, it's hard to believe because this means that I have been here in OZ for NEARLY 10 months... which also means my visa runs out in 2 months time.  Now, if work will stop stressing me out and get the visa I need to STAY here, I will stress less... about this at least? lol  Yeah, I admit I am a worry wart and over stress...but these things are important.

Thirdly, for me, a "yank", May is the time that spring is in the air.  Flowers are in bloom.  Some days it is so warm you think it's summer.  Pools are slowly starting to open.  All the things that you are "use" to for "MAY" weather.  Welllll.. down here in the southern hemisphere... we are almost done with Autumn, and on June 1st (or 1st of June as they say here) we are officially in WINTER.  The southern hemisphere has TOTALLY turned me into a wimp!  I am wearing sweaters and coats, sweatpants and complaining of being cold when it's like, 50-60's.  HOWEVER it feel soo much colder!  The good thing about Perth in the Summer time is the nice ocean breeze off of the ocean.  Once that comes in during the afternoon (which it does MOST days) even on a very HOT day, it's tolerable.  The same breeze is here when it's cold.  And a COLD breeze when it's cool outside, equals down right FREAKIN COLD!  lol  So yeah, the southern hemisphere has turned me into a total wimp!  But, I'm ok with that.

We went down south this past weekend and used our 4wd and went exploring.  It was great fun.  It's amazing what you can find when you take the road less traveled, literally.  HEAVEN.

Today I had a salon girlie day.  Went and got a keratin treatment (aka Brazilian blow out) on my hair and an eye brow wax (that was super over due!)  So far I LOVE the keratin treatment!! I'll post a before and after picture!!!

                                          Before                                                                                             After

Time will tell if I am happy with it long term, but as of now really loving it.

In other news, Wayne's Grandmother, Babcie (dad's mom) has suffered a severe stroke and is in hospital not expecting to make it much longer.  So thoughts and prayers for her passing in peace are appreciated.  She is 95 and has severe Alzheimer's, and hasn't known anyone, including herself, for sometime (from the way I understand it).

Anyways, that's all for now... ttfn.

Life has been....

BUSY!!!!  I'm sucking at blogging these days... but don't worry, you aren't missing much! lol.  Just been super busy.

Just checking in to say hi at the moment, so people won't think I died.  Who am I kidding.. nobody reads this! lol.  This weekend we are heading down South and I just can't wait.  I love it.

Since I'm being short and sweet tonight, I'll just leave with some good ol Seven Mary Three lyrics tonight.. no particular meaning, just listened tonight on shuffle and realized how much I like the lyrics.  :)   Will update soon, but again, not much going on!! Just work, life, and love down here in Paradise.  I love my job, life, and love... so, yeah, business as usual folks!

"Do you think that people get tired of themselves?
Is that why the T.V.'s on all the time?
It don't take much to get it right back on track,
but it won't fall from the sky right into your
lap.
I've made the most of Luck.
You get a brand new chance
in a brand new town.
And if I don't read what they wrote about me,
I might turn you on to something I've found:
Silence. Priceless. Silence.
The only way we talk.
What if people get everything they expect?
What becomes of hope?
I'll bet she's a nervous wreck.
What's the genius in a cushion on your couch?
You better find yourself something that drags you
out.
I've made the most of Love.
You get a brand new chance in a brand new town.
And if I don't hear what they whisper about me,
I might turn you on to something I've found:
Silence. Priceless. Silence.
The only way we talk. "

I suck at blogging these days!!!

My last blog was around Easter.  WHAT????  So much has been going on, and  we've been busy as heck, and yet I don't seem to be blogging much at all!  Which is a shame, because even though there haven't been any big events, there have been some good and fun memories that I haven't blogged on.  I should really get my ass back into this blogging thing.  Quick run down.. Koby (nephew) just turned FIVE.  Holy.  Crap.  Where has the time gone?  I still remember my Aussie friend emailing me (and blogging on Myspace) (side note...what's myspace?) that his precious nephew had entered the world.  That little man is now our nephew (hey, he calls me Auntie April, that's good enough for me!) and is FIVE.  Wow.  And soon, Zane will be THREEE?????   Wow.

Koby's bday falls on ANZAC day (google it, I'm too tired to link ya ;) ) so that required us getting up at 4 am for a GORGEOUS dawn service at the War Memorial in the city at Kings Park.  After that was breakfast with the immediate family, home to clean up, over to the brother's house for the family get together for Koby's birthday... then home.  I was EXHAUSTED and in bed at like 9 p.m.  And not only in bed, but in a COMA.  Wayne was packing his suitcase (I'll get to that next) and I'm pretty sure the suitcase at one stage was on my feet and legs and I didn't care enough to move.  lol.  I was just exhausted.  The next day, we were off to the East coast.....

A couple weeks ago, Wayne found out he was going to Brisbane (on the East coast) for about 10 days for work, and since it included a weekend and I was able to get some time off work, he invited me along.... and off we went for a nice weekend get away (thurs-sun).  So, our fun (but rainy) trip to Brisbane was good.  Was nice to see another part of this gorgeous country!!   There was shopping, sight seeing, LOTS of coffee breaks (umm...helllooooo Starbucks, how I have missed you!), a massive ferris wheel ride, "Annie" the musical (fifth row, baby!), Pancakes with REAL syrup.... and most importantly, just time away and alone.  Not that it was needed, but come on, when will you ever refuse time away and alone with someone you love?

Work has been super busy this week.  It's good because the day simply FLIES by.  The only bad is some days I feel like I'm missing/forgetting stuff.  But work is all really good.   The nights this week have been packed full.  Either dinner with a friend (three out of five nights were this) and the other two were catching up with Season 2 of Teen Mom 2.  Now, let me explain this.  In Australia, most sites that I can watch TV shows online, tell me "This material is blocked in your region".  Total.  Freakin.  Cock block.  HOWEVER, I've stumbled across a few websites that allow it.  So I've been having some major marathon's.  And the fact that our Internet seems to be working well lately (knock on wood!) has really been helpful.

New bedtime routine... Chamomile Tea.  Yeah, I was leary, however it was in the hotel while in Brisbane so I tried it.  Perhaps it's all in my head and doesn't help me sleep, but it's a nice little routine to have a warm drink at bedtime, for sure.  I like it with a touch of Equal.

Tonight I had dinner with a friend/family member (step cousin) of Wayne's.  Really nice good time.  Before dinner we saw the movie "The five year engagement".  Funny movie..really enjoyed it... perhaps not the best timing as I have some stuff on my mind lately (which I don't feel like going into here), however really enjoyable chick flick.  The guys seemed to enjoy it too, so it's not TOO much of a chick flick.  Still the predictable "and they all lived happily ever after" ending, but enjoyable.

Ok, off to bed I go.

Love, peace, and hair grease!

Random Friday Night Survey and a lil' update.

First off, Happy Good Friday and Easter Weekend to you and yours.  For me, this means a FOUR day weekend (as down under, things are closed on Good Friday, and the Monday following, which is known as Easter Monday) with pay on the working days I'm off.  Oh yeah.  Two thumbs wayyyy up!  Also, this means that I get to enjoy Hot Cross Buns.   I will admit my first attempt of these (home made by the future mum in law) I wasn't that fussed about.  They were edible by all means.  But if I never had again, I would be fine.  I guess, though, they have grown on me, and I'm wondering what the protocol for baking these in non Easter season's is?  Must....google......

Life has been busy here.  Well, 1/2 of this week involved being out of my head on night time flu tablets and antibiotics as I got an ear infection and some kinda flu virus that attacked my SOUL (ok, perhaps I'm a big baby, and it was just an Upper Respiratory Tract Infection....).   However, on the mend.

Luckily this did not interfere with our weekend plans last weekend.  My first Aussie football game (AWESOME!) Birthday party for the twins, hair, chiropractor, and lastly the Blues and Roots Festival, which featured a 2 HOUR set by John Fogerty (CCR, folks!)  Awesome awesome time.  (hindsight..perhaps all that is too much for someone in their late 20's.... err.. I mean, early 30's....)

So, since I'm bored with blogging about life (work is good, love is good, I still live in paradise, blah blah blah) I am posting some random survey.  Because, I don't want allll you readers (ok, all 2 of you...lol) to become bored and leave my blog and leave me alone with my thoughts.......... and because I'm bored and Wayne is watching some race movie (as, well, he does..lol).

So, I will warn you reading farther will result in 1.  Waste of time.  2.  Accomplish nothing.  3.  Do you really need more reasons to stop reading than that?

Ah.. you are really that stubborn.  Ok, fine.  However, I give no refunds of lost time.  You have been warned......

What was the last thing you put in your mouth?
Ice cream covered in crushed Tim Tams.  Our little creation tonight that was YUM!!!!!

Can you play Guitar Hero?
It's been years but I use to be able to.  HOWEVER, I don't have the biggest hands, so some of the buttons/keys that my pinky had to stretch to resulted in FAIL.  Hmm.. .may have to look into one of these for some butt kicking at home..hehe.

How late did you stay up last night and why?
Not late at all... 11p.m.  (which isn't late for a night before a day off!)  The night before I slept like crap so I was super tired, and Wayne was home from his week away for the first night.... the combination for an aussome night of sleep for me!

If you could move somewhere else, would you?
Nope.  I honestly love it here.  The weather is awesome, the beaches are the most gorgeous beaches in the world.  Now, do I wish I could move my friends and family here..... that's more the question!

Have you ever been kissed under fireworks?
Pretty sure on Australia Day an aussie snuck in a kiss.  Then Wayne came back so we had to stop  (haha, jk.................... Wayne totally didn't catch us.......... lol.)  But yeah, pretty sure Wayne kissed me on Australia Day under the fireworks this year.

Do you believe ex's can be friends?
Maybe... just really depends on how close you were and how close of a friendship you have now.  Was it someone you just dated, or someone you were madly in love with and had a bad split?  Do you stay on a "friendly" basis as in "he/she is on my facebook, and may say hi if we see each other out and about" or is it "we are best friends, super close"???   I've known a lot of people who could do it, but it also seems like telling your kids "the dog died, but you can still keep it!"   I say exes are exes for a reason.

Recently I found out my ex (who I thought was gay??) now has a girlfriend.  I sat and thought.... "awwww.........  poor girl"   If I could give her any advice, RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!!

When was the last time you cried really hard?
Two weeks ago.  My friend Denise's funeral.  I was able to listen to the funeral (thanks to Skype and my BFF from Nursing school's cell phone).  It's really hard to be that far away during something like this.  Oh, did I mention the funeral was at 4AM our time?  And that my wonderful boyfriend got up out of bed to sit with me so I wouldn't be alone?   <3  But yeah, that was a 7-10 days following.

What items could you not go without during the day?
Oxygen??? lol.   Um, my iphone (yeah, yeah, I know I know...)  Deodorant (I only use once a daily, but really couldn't do without!)  And probably my bank card, since I never carry cash (then I could also purchase all the things that I'm forgetting about in this question)

Who was the last person you visited in the hospital?
Ah.. geeze.  I spend so much time in them (well, use to before the nice desk job) I don't really know for sure the last time I went to visit someone!!!!  They all run together.  Probably like people who fly a lot, you lose track of airport visits.....

How do you feel about your life right now?
Loaded question!  I'm happy with my love life, location (umm...who wouldn't love living in Paradise??? lol), and job.  That's a pretty good start.  There are some things I wonder about.... and there are also some things I'm not happy with....a few personal things, but all of which I'm trying to work on... all I can do is strive to be a better me...... and that's all I'm going on this blog about that at the moment.

If we were to look in your facebook inbox, what would we find?
Lots of messages from my mom "Are you there?"   lol.  nothing much that emails from friends and such.  No black mail, sorry!!

Say you were given a drug test right now, would you pass?
As long as the flu tablets down under don't contain anything other than flu medication, absolutely.  I'm very proud to be drug free!

Has anyone ever called you perfect before?
LOLOLOL.  Wow, I almost fell outta my chair.  I'm sure people have said I'd be perfect for a mental institute... does THAT count?

What song is stuck in your head?
Right now, none... let's keep it that way, k?

Someone knocks on your window at 2:00 a.m.: who do you want it to be?
Considering we live in a community where you have to be buzzed in at the front gate AND the downstairs entry, it better be someone with a really big surprise, like Ed McMahon with a big fat check.   (last time someone was at the door at 2 am, it was a drunk neighbor trying to get into the wrong house.. I'd totally go ninja on his ass this time.  Promise!)

Do you think too much or too little?
I think I think the right amount.  My boyfriend thinks I over think.. EVERYTHING.

Where are your feet right now?
Umm...attached to my legs??  lol.  Propped up on the recliner.

Do you believe in fairy tales?
Nah.  I kinda think that fairy tales are the problem with women's expectations the way that porn is the problem with men's expectation of women.  We expect a prince, they expect a whore.  lol...sorry, but it's true!

Do you like pickles?
Ehh..sometimes.  I really do like those sweet dill pickles, but in general I don't eat pickles.

Have you ever licked the back of a CD to try to get it to work?
No, eew.  Who would do that?

What's the largest age difference between yourself and someone you’ve dated?
13 1/2 years difference.  smh... I was born in 80, he graduated high school in 85.  WTF was I thinking?  smh.

Have you ever been on a blind date?
Yes, and they NEVER went well or resulted in anything other than a hilarious story to tell my friends...lol.  I have heard stories from when people met their "soul mate" on a blind date.. but I've heard several blind date stories that ended in restraining orders....

Do you have any friends that you've known for 10 years or more?
Yup!  I certainly do.  Some for well more than 20.  I'll stop there, or else we are discussing my age again.  And, well, that's just rude.. ;)

Does the number of people a person's slept with affect your view of them?
I really don't need to know this kind of information, and it's none of my business unless I'm dating them, so no. I don't want to know.

Are you a good tipper?
No longer a tipper as it's not done here (thank god, shit is expensive enough!).  But, I use to be a good tipper... in exchange for GOOD service.  I tip as a reflection on service...

What's the most you have spent for a haircut?
$125 (included a color though, but I haven't had JUST a cut without a color since I was like 16.... so no clue how much just a cut is)

Have you ever had a crush on a teacher?
In 7th grade I had a crush on my science teacher.  I thought he looked like John Michael Montgomery at the time (the young, thin John Michael).  I saw him a few years ago, and well, lets just say he did not look like my pre adolence memory.

Have you ever peed in public?
No.  Having an "innie" and not an "outtie" makes this pretty hard for women, and despite my shitty bladder, I've NEVER not been able to get to a toilet, or hold it until I could (knock on wood!)

What song do you want played at your funeral?
Green Day "time of your life"

Would you tell your parents if you were gay?
Well, that's a hard one.  Luckily nothing I've ever had to worry about or ever have to worry about.  I would like to think I would be able to tell them, but that's one of those things I wouldn't know unless I was in those shoes.

What would your last meal be before getting executed?
Mutton, lamb shanks, steak, Nando's Chicken and Chips (fries... they are the BEST!!).. I'm going out stuffed!!

Do you walk around the house naked?
I've never been one to walk around the house nude.  Even when I lived alone.   I will sometimes, when I need something from another room or something, but in general, no.

What do you do as soon as you walk in the house?
Shoes off, purse down, then kiss the boy if he's home.

Who is the person you can count on the most?
There are lots of people I can count on.  Folks, the boy, some of my best friends, so to choose just one isn't possible.  Guess it depends on the topic/subject.

What did you dream last night?
Just the standard, woke up not sure where I was (our bedroom is dark as night, so sometimes I wake up confused... )   But no dreams that I can recall.

Have you ever been in love?
Um... are you new to my blog?  lol.  I have been in love, and I am currently in love.  Anyone on earth without the joy of feeling love in their life is living a life without meaning.  I'm not just talking s.o. love...the love of a best friend, family, or a loving dog.

Do you sing in the shower?
Oh yeah.  The shower and in the car alone I turn into a singing Diva!  lol

What is your favorite Holiday?
Any paid holiday is good one for me.  lol.  My favorite is Thanksgiving.  Although, this past year with all the kiddo's, I highly enjoyed Christmas, and I'm sure once we have kids of our own Christmas will become a new favorite.

Would you ever get plastic surgery?
Who said I haven't already???  lol

Have you ever caught a fish?
Oh yeah.  Biggest was a 8.5lb catfish, and a meter long shark... "Jaws" who lives at my parents house... hanging on their wall.

What is your favorite lunch meat?
Chicken!

Do you still have your tonsils?
Nope.

What is your favorite cereal?
Hmm...fruit loops and/or Cinnamon Toast crunch!!!

Do you untie your shoes when you take them off?
VERY rarely.

What is your favorite ice cream?
Chocolate.. even though when we go out for Ice Cream, I will still sample other flavors and comment "that's so good"..and then order...... you guessed it, chocolate.  I think it drives Wayne nuts...but add that to the list.  It's quite long.

What is the first thing you notice about people?
eyes and personality (nice?  mean?  asshole?..... part of working with the public)

What book are you reading now?
Book...what's a book?   lol

What is the farthest you've been from home?
My first trip to Perth... 11K miles from home.  Now I AM home.  :)

How did you meet your spouse?
Don't have one of those.  I met my boyfriend (and hopefully future spouse) in Orlando in 2005 at a Seven Mary Three concert.  We became great friends, and then in July 2010, more mutual feelings developed, August 4 2010  we became "official" but still with a lot to figure out..... and July 2011 I moved to Perth to continue our relationship and have never looked back.  That's the cliffnotes version.  For the full version, well, read the blog....lol

Where was the last place you drove (other than home/school/work)?
On Monday I stopped at the grocery store (on my way home) for orange juice and a few other groceries.
