30 day challenge....

Day 18: A letter to someone you miss.

As part of life, we end up at some point missing a lot of people, or sometimes just things about people. But more times than not, it's the whole person we miss.   It's a part of life.  Divorce (yourself, family or friends), death, moving (yourself or by family or friends), falling out with family or friends.... Seriously, this list of why we end up missing people could be it's very own BLOG (not just an entry..lol).     I can't say I've made it to 30 without parting ways with people I care immensely for who I miss.  So, to pick one person and then write a (quite public) letter to them seems a little over whelming.  And in fact I'm struggling with this one.  (wow, this 30 day challenge that is taking me 3 yrs it seems to complete is really making me think.... )  Add in the current relationship situation I am in, the list of people I miss grows longer and longer every day.

And... it's now over 30 minutes later since I wrote the last paragraph.  I've got a million things going through my mind.  So I think I will write a letter that is simply the lyrics of two songs...  (I'm still following the rules... but adding my addiction of lyrics/quotes to it.... it counts....).

"Come on get higher"
I miss the sound of your voice
And I miss the rush of your skin
And I miss the still of the silence
As you breathe out and I breathe in

If I could walk on water, If I could tell you what’s next
Make you believe, make you forget

So come on, get higher, loosen my lips
Faith and desire in the swing of your hips
Just throw me down hard
And drown me in love

So come on, get higher, loosen my lips
Faith and desire in the swing of your hips
Just throw me down hard
And drown me in love

I miss the sound of your voice
The loudest thing in my head
And I ache to remember
All the violent, sweet,
perfect words that you said

If I could walk on water, if i could tell you what’s next,
make you believe, make you forget

So come on, get higher, loosen my lips
Faith and desire in the swing of your hips
Just to throw me down hard
And drown me in love

So come on, get higher, loosen my lips
Faith and desire in the swing of your hips
Just to throw me down hard
And drown me in love

I miss the pull of your heart
I can taste the sparks on your tongue
I see angels and devils
And God
when you come on
Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on - HOLD
Singing shalala la
Singing shalala lala
Ooooooo
Ooooooo
Oooooooooooooooo

Come on, get higher, loosen my lips
Faith and desire in the swing of your hips
Just to throw me down hard
And drown me in love

So come on, get higher, loosen my lips
Faith and desire in the swing of your hips
Just to throw me down hard
And drown me, drown me in love

(come on get higher, loosen my lips)It's all wrong
(faith and desire at the swing of your hips)It's all wrong
(just to throw me down hard and drown me in love)It's all right

So, come on, get higher
Come on, get higher
'Cause everything works love
Everything works in your arms

**************

"Make me believe"
I got miles of trouble spreadin' far and wide
Bills on the table gettin' higher and higher
They just keep on comin', theres no end in sight
I'm just holding on tight...
I've got someone who loves me more then words can say
And I'm thankful for that each and every day
And if I count all my blessings, I get a smile on my face
Still it's hard to find faith..

Chorus:
But if can you look in my eyes
And tell me we'll be alright
If you promise never to leave
You just might make me believe

Its just day to day tryin' to make ends meet
What id give for an address on easy street
I need a deep margarita to help me unwind
Leave my troubles behind...

But if can you look in my eyes
And tell me we'll be alright
If you promise never to leave
You just might make me believe

I used to believe in us
When times got tough
Lately I'm afraid that even love is not enough

But if can you look in my eyes
And tell me we'll be alright
If you promise never to leave
You just might make me believe

But if you can look in my eyes
And tell me we'll be alright
If you promise never to leave you just might make
Oh, you just might make me
You just might make me believe
