Ok, perve. Head outta the gutter, please.
;)
So, a lot going on, and a busy few weeks ahead. For my own purposes, I want to make sure I keep this blog updated over this time. Well, starting next week...
Anyways.
This past Friday I had a meeting with the BIG boss at work.. Verdict is?? They will sponsor me!!!!!!! So, that is a huge weight lifted, with Wayne happily telling me "I told you so" (he does that quite often.. a tad annoying, bud!). So this fits perfect into our plan..... next steps are America in July/August (with maybe a stop at Paris!!), return and file for our partner Visa!! It's finally all falling perfectly into place. I'm so happy, and relieved, that it's all working out.
And can you believe that it's already been a year since I did my first "move" here? Crazy how time flies. Wayne and I have been a couple for over 18 months now. And THAT sounds even crazier!
Anyways, today was Wayne's surgery. He had his tonsils removed and part of his soft palate. I was far more nervous than he was. Number one, he's NEVER had surgery, or even been in the hospital. I on the other hand.. am a nurse. Enough said? Yeahhh... that sums it up! lol. He's doing really well. He is in ICU as I type this. His pain is minimum, and I pray once the local anesthesia wears off that statement is still true! The funniest, but endearing part of the day was that the medications made him like a drunk college girl. His speech was majorly hard to understand (that was part meds, part inflammation from surgery), but the best part was the "I love you's" and "you are so good to me" "I'm so glad you are here" "I'm the luckiest man EVER". Me giggling, almost made him get upset and try to push the subject more. As a nurse, I know he needed as little talking as possible in order to rest his throat. However, as the girlfriend, I will admit it was cute. And wow, it's so much easier taking care of your family/s.o. than random strangers! lol.
So, that's all from here.... I'm off to bed, because tomorrow brings another day of hospitals and the love of my life. Wish I could have stayed there all night, but will be happy to have a shower in the morning first!!
TTFN!
