Look at us, running around, always rushed, always late. Guess that's why they call it the human race.

As the title suggests, life has been BUSY!  I've been picking up some overtime at work and we've been quite busy.  I guess in healthcare there isn't really a "busy" season... just different flows of gunk and whatnot.  Had some reallly interesting nights, some really crazy nights (on every level of "crazy" that you could imagine).... but at the end of the day... I need a massage! lol!  I have a 2 hr massage giftcard that I need to put to good use.... now, when I'll do that??? That's the question.

Tonight I am going to help set up for a bridal shower and bachelorette party that I'm helping host for one of my best friends, Lisa.  I'm so happy for her.  The big day is next weekend, and I know she is so excited...and she sooo deserves this.  He is really an awesome guy and they just fit together.... know what I mean?  The whole ying and yang thing... they have it.  So exciting.  :)

This morning I took the girls to the vet... Bonnie just for a routine vaccine... Bailey for some skin problems.  Got the medicine that should clear it up, a shot to help until the medicine fully kicks in... and a bill for $200.  Awesome.  It seems everytime I work overtime, somethings is waiting to take my dough.  Oh well, part of pet ownership, and while I am very actively seeking them a new home, they are still mine for now, so gotta do the responsible thing and take care of them, right?  So, about a year ago Bailey was having knee problems, and they wanted to her lose weight.  Again, as responsible dog mommy I'm PROUD to say she is down from 78lbs... to 63.  The vet was SUPER happy with her weight.  The vet wasn't upset about Bonnie's weight.. but I was SHOCKED.  Drum roll please......... 98 lbs.  HOLY COW.  When did my little baby that was just four long skinny legs become such a BIG dog?   And further more... why does she still think that she is a 20 lb lap dog?  I live alone, have a queen size bed..and most nights I'm fighting for space AND cover.  Sigh.

And last.. but CERTAINLY not least... I leave for my trip to Australia in...... drum roll (again.. yes, thanks)..... 12 days.  WOW!  So hard to believe it's finally almost here.  I have so much to do to get ready, but got a lot done today, such as a few things for travel, my transcripts ordered (to get my license for nursing while I'm there)..... I think after today I am off four days between now and the time I leave..... 2 of which are TOTALLY taken (shower/party and wedding).... so, that leaves me 2 days to pack, shop for some things, etc, etc, etc.  Damn.  It's a good thing I do my *best* work under pressure... and those of you who have been following my blog(s) long enough, you know that I'm the worlds best procrastinator.

Anyways, I am very excited...nervous...excited...happy......did I mention EXCITED?  And once I get back to the states, it's not long until he will be here for the holidays!!  Christmas eve, christmas, new years eve.... the whole shebang.  Oh..here's where I can put that excited word again, right?  =D

So.... the only request I have is for a white christmas...as in Australia it's summer at christmas, and he's never had a white (or even chilly) christmas.  So, who do I speak to about this?????

Leaving with a quote from the movie "the switch"..... until next time..

"Look at us, running around, always rushed, always late. Guess that's why they call it the human race. But sometimes it slows down just enough for all the pieces to fall into place. Fate works its magic. And you're connected.  Every once in awhile amid all the randomness, something unexpected happens and it pushes us all forward. And the truth is, what I'm starting to think, what I'm starting to feel, is that maybe the human race isn't a race at all."
