where do I go??

first come...first served!!  Oh..come on.  Get your head out of the gutter.

As I posted before looking at going to Ohio to work....close to home, and prob more opportunities for Wayne.  I mailed off my LAST piece of mail for an Ohio license today.  In the meantime.... I make money how??  Yeah...  So I talked to my nurse recruiter this morning, and there are some short (6wk) contracts in Maryland, NC, and Virginia.  So, I've been submitted for them and may know as soon as tomorrow.... Wow.  I may have an offer as soon as Monday, and I could be 7 hrs away as soon as the following Monday.  Ummm did I mention how excited this makes me!?!  Cause it does!  I am getting the travel fever and I am starting to LOVE travel and being on the road.  Who would have ever thought THAT...right!?!?!?!!!!!???????   As long as I can still talk/text my friends and call them, I'm ok. And did I mention the money?? yeah... I'm sold.. lol.  And with no kids at this stage..why not???

As far as everything else goes... I don' t feel this is the "place".... I will continue to say, day by day....one step at a time, and I have total faith it will all work out.  :)  Each day gets better and more positives keep coming up.  I miss him soooo much, but a love like this doesn't die...

I shall leave you with...some quotes??? Shocker.. I know... lol..  :D  (and since i'm tired, please do NOT make me get up on my soap box!  I take NO credit for any of these.....*

"Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It's for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It's for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don't see it nearly enough..."

"We are the perfect couple, we're just not in the perfect situation."

"Distance never separates two hearts that really care, for our memories span the miles and in seconds we are there. But whenever I start feeling sad, because I miss you, I remind myself how lucky I am to have someone so special to miss."

"You live too far away.
Your voice rings like a bell anyway.
Don't give up your independence, unless it feels so right.
Nothing good comes easily, sometimes you've got to fight."

And the one quote I will end on tonight..because I reallly reallllly reallllllllllly like it...

"No great love ever came without great struggle."

Good night friends..... I wish you love, joy, and peace........

As an outsider...

I'd tell you this is crazy.

I'd tell you you deserve better.

I'd tell you that it's impossible.

I'd tell you "I told you so" and probably reference to some point in time when...well, I told you so...... as I had mannnnyyyyy times in the past (you are smiling and laughing, aren't ya?? haha)

As an insider, I tell you that I admire you as a person.  I respect you for your forgiveness, and I love you for who you are, how you make me feel, and all that I can see ahead of us.  Together.

There are three words that make me smile, laugh, and cry at the same time.. "I love you".  Even after all this time, I still melt when I see and hear these words.

I love you too.....

Signs????

So, I'd love to hear people's thoughts on believing in signs.  Not the speed limit ones (cause, let's be honest, I typically view them as "suggestions"....).  The ones that show you either that you are on the right track or the ones that show you where you should be or what have you.  I am a christian, I believe in God and my beliefs.  But I've always been a believer of "signs".  Sometimes these signs are small and I think "perhaps I'm over reading a coincidence?".  Others, take my breath away and almost make me feel as if I've seen a ghost.

**side note, as I type this blog, I just received a sign....
won't go into it, but it just happened.......
again...**

The other day I was with my friend in a furniture store, and was talking about the situation with me and Wayne, and I was literally in the process of talking about "signs" and all the "signs" I keep getting... and I look up and see this statue...

I see red man, and stop.... and am in a little...ok, a LOT of shock.  I said "wow.. I'm creeped out..."  Again, this was in the middle of discussing my belief in signs.  My friend looks at the statue and says "yeah, that's creepy..who would put that in their house?!"  (which is, by the way..a VERY valid question.....lol).  I couldn't even put into words why this creeped me out.  So, I pull up my blog on my iPhone and show her the following picture....

I took the picture of this red man (and wish I had a face shot of the red man.) in Australia about a week or two before I left to come back to the U.S. at the Sculptures by the Sea.  This was such an awesome and fun day that we had.  Granted, we both share the lack of "art" but share the same sense of humor so we were able to laugh together, at each other, with each other...etc, etc. etc.

Back to what I was saying.  What are the chances that 11 THOUSAND miles away, I find a VERY similar red man WHILE I'm talking about believing in signs, and believing in "us"??

I give red man an Aussie thumbs up... with no makeup... awesome! lol!!

Soooo...... I close with this "note"...

Dear Signs,
Keep on coming.  I'm starting to become entertained and inspired by you.
Love,
Me

March Madness = March Sadness....

Sigh.  It's been a good run for the UK Men's Basketball team.  Made it all the way to the final four for the first time in like 13 yrs.  Lexington is a HUGE HUGE HUGE basketball team.  Literally, season tickets are willed down in the family.  And are PRICEY!  Getting tickets to the bigger games is usually not that easy.  Anyways, last night in the final four game, the Cats lost by one point.  The game was...ok.  The officials let a lot of calls go, the commentators were against UK... haters.  However, the boys did lose a lot of points in the first half by attempting a LOT of 3 point shots... and they kept missing.  Now, I'm not a bball coach, but I am thinking that if you aren't hitting them...stop trying???  I dunno.  It's just a suggestion.  They also didn't have the "fire" that they seemed to have the last few games.  It was like they came out with their heads down and never got fired up.  Oh well.  It is just a game.... I think...... lol.  The one good thing about UK games, is catching up with friends and such.  So had a good time catching up with friends last night, as always.  Despite the outcome of the game, spending time with friends is always a victory! :)

The job search and paperwork for the Ohio nursing license continues.  Talked to my awesome recruiter on Friday and it's looking like some REALLY good opportunities in Columbus.  I got on Wiki today and got some info on Columbus.  Had NO idea how big of a town it is.  It's only about 3 hrs from central Kentucky, so the ability to be home on days off or when something happens will be good.  Will be good to add another chapter of life experiences as well.

I'm so happy to report that my sleeping patterns seem to be getting into a normal pattern.  Of course there are times here and there that I wake up after just a few hours, but even then I haven't seemed too tired or sleepy and find that I function the entire day on just 3 or 4 hrs of sleep.  But those aren't as common as the nights of 7'ish hours of sleep... and might I add NO sleep aids.. no ambien, and not even any herbal over the counter sleep aids.  NON aided sleep.  And no nightmares..... brb.... must.  find.  wood.  *knock*.  Ok.  I'm good.

Today is gonna be a lazy Sunday.  There are some movies that are out that I'd love to go rent, but not sure where in the world you can even rent movies these days?  I could watch one of my standard chick flicks... but just in the mood to see something new... in the comfort of my room.  :)

Probably should figure out some lunch grubbage soon, too.....

Ok, that's it for now.  I feel a blog might happen later, so stay tuned.  I know you are thrilled? haha.  :)

30 Day Challenge...

Well, a lot is going on, and I find myself smiling a lot.  And while there are a million things I'd like to say, for now, I'll just do a 30 day challenge post....

Day 16: A photo that makes you smile.

I know I've posted this before.. but I love this picture.... because of the events around the weekend when this photo was taken.  I had this blown up into an 8x10 and have it hanging on my wall.  It looks great.  To anyone viewing it they probably just see an artsy photo... but I see one of the most amazing weekends of my life.  Can't wait for many more.  <3

Second post of the day.....

Need to add a quote to the previous post... and I love it enough that instead of editing the prior post, just gonna make a whole new post.  Cause, well, it's my blog and I have that kinda power....

"A relationship can only be successful if four things are in-place: Respect, friendship, trust, and passion. With those, a couple can face anything together."

<3

Almost a week....

That's how long I've been back in the states.  Feels like just a day or two, but feels like much longer at the same time.....

The job search is underway and I'm looking at a lot of different options.  School nurse, home health...  and one option I am looking at travel nursing.  The pay is AMAZING.  They supply you a furnished apartment with all the utilities/cable/etc.  I want to be able to be at a spot where if something happens, I can be in Lexington basically the same day if needed, so not looking at any exotic locations for this.  One company I am talking to has a lot of opportunities in Ohio.  Cincinnati is about an hours drive from Lexington, so that is something I am very interested in.  As an RN in the state of Kentucky, I have what's called a "compact" license.  There are about 22 states that accept my license for me to practice in their state.  Ohio, however.... Is not one.  Of course.  lol.  So Tuesday I spent the day doing paperwork and all kinds of stuff that they require for the application and yesterday I mailed it off.  Tomorrow I am heading to Cincy to do my background check and fingerprinting for the FBI.  (wow, right? lol).  From there it's a short waiting process and then they can have me in a job in Cincy within a week.  The pay is AWESOME.  It's close to home, and having an Ohio license may add to some "options" in the future.......

Last night I was able to catch up with my BFF, Heather.  We went to dinner, had girl time, and I spent the night.  This morning we got up, hit breakfast, shopping, then lunch (lol) and more shopping.  I was the assistant.  lol.  She just bought a house so still in the decorating stages.  It was great to catch up with her.  It's amazing how much we had to catch up with over the previous 7 weeks or so.  We are awaiting more news on her surgery for her cancer, but it was good to finally put my arms around her and give her a big hug.

Last time thath I blogged, I lost a ton of quotes... So, I'm gonna attempt those again.... lol.  *Please note - I take NO credit for ANY of these quotes*  (someone recently threw a fit stating I didn't quote a source, but had said person read the line ABOVE the quote..they would have seen the credit WAS given... off soap box..)

"Just so you know, there's a space that only you can fill. Just so you know, I loved you then, I guess I always will.”

"Love is like an earthquake-unpredictable, a little scary, but when the hard part is over you realize how lucky you truly are.”

"You can close your eyes to the things you do not want to see, but you cannot close your heart to the things you do not want to feel.”

"The worst thing you can do for love is deny it; so when you find that special someone, don't let anyone or anything to get in your way.”

"When you smiled you had my undivided attention. When you laughed you had my urge to laugh with you. When you cried you had my urge to hold you. When you said you loved me, you had my heart forever.”

“A part of you has grown in me. And so you see, it's you and me together forever and never apart, maybe in distance, but never in heart.”

"So it's not gonna be easy. It's going to be really hard; we're gonna have to work at this everyday, but I want to do that because I want you. I want all of you, forever, everyday. You and me... everyday."

One day at a time..... but keeping my head high and confident everything is gonna be ok in the end..... it'll take time, but I have all the time in the world.  As they say, "time is all the luck you need".....   Until next time friends....
