I'm slacking...

Yeah, my blogging has totally slacked off lately.. been busy living and not on the net as much.  ;)

All is good.. no.. GREAT here down under.  Really enjoying time with my niece here.  I start my new job the day after she leaves, and things at home are simply wonderful.  Makes me in a strange way almost appreciate the shit we went through to get here.  Ok, maybe not ALL of it, but what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, right?

So, yes, I need to do an update blog or something of some type, and you know I'm a lyric gal, but this lyric blog is directed for my niece (who doesn't know that I even have a blog, I don't think...).  I use to think of her when this song was popular (when she was like... 4'ish??).  And for some reason, many moons later, I had forgotten about that, until I watched her watch a sunset from a distance the other night...and re-reading the lyrics, I can't help but still feel these lyrics are so appropriate for everything I hope for her.  I love her dearly..... I captured a picture of her doing a cartwheel in the sunset on the beach.. so here's the picture, and some lyrics.  I love you Boo.

"I hope you Dance"
LeeAnn Womack

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leave you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand beside the ocean

Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance

I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake
But it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart
Leave you bitter
When you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a real and constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
(Where those years have gone)

I hope you still feel small
When you stand beside the ocean

Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance

And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
Dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
(Time is a real and constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
I hope you dance
(Where those years have gone)

(Tell me who)
I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
(Where those years have gone)
