Can. Not. Wait.

I have all of the dates for my trip to Australia officially approved by my boss.  This makes me very happy!  Oct 27-Nov 16'ish.  Nearly three whole weeks together.  It can't come fast enough, but I know it will simply fly by once I get there. But, once we make it through this long stretch, it'll be all smooth sailing from there, since we are planning on spending Christmas and new years together here in the states.  New years has always been a HUGE deal to me, and I have no clue why.  Nobody else in my family is this way, so it's not a learned behavior.  So, again, the greatest part about falling for your best friend... you don't even have to tell them some of the things about yourself...they already know it.  After New Years, we are gonna try to go to Tulsa for the Chili Bowl.... and then in Feb, I should be moving.... lots of plans, lots of planes.... so much going on, but I couldn't be happier.  Well, I could if we weren't 12 hours apart..... short time pain for long time gain, or so I've been told ;)

In other news, tomorrow is the first home game for the UK wildcats.  I'm excited to have season tickets this year! Being a late game means a day full of tailgating!!  However, mother nature so far isn't really working for our benefit.... reminences of hurricane Hermine (sp?) is making it's way just in time.  Awesome.  We haven't had a drop of rain in 25 days now.  So, of course it makes sense for it to rain tomorrow..... Great.   Please note sarcasm...because I'm laying it on PRETTY thick right now.  As I type this, the weather on the news just said "tomorrow's forecast...we'll discuss that a little later".  Seriously.  Just tell me.

Work has been decent this week.  A few stressful times, a few "cruisy" times (I'm learning oz terms..lol)... other than being tired really can't complain.  I'm sure the next week will change that since I'm working some overtime.  For some reason every time I have a good shift or even a good week, I pay for it ten fold the next shift and/or week.  Part of the job I guess.  At the end of the day, I love being a nurse.  But sometimes, the job just wears ya out! lol.

Well, off to bed I go.... tailgating in t-minus 12'ish hours!  WOOT!! :)
